5-star LB Xavier Griffin is one of Alabama’s top targets in the 2026 recruiting class. Griffin recently returned from an official visit to Tuscaloosa, and ever since he decommitted from USC, predictions have been made that he will join the Tide.
Nonetheless, Griffin remains undecided and will pay an official visit to Texas this weekend, with the Longhorns and Ohio State seen as the most serious challengers for Kalen DeBoer and company’s services.
However, Griffin‘s recent social media post has Alabama fans even more enthusiastic about the chance of landing the blue-chip LB.
Griffin reposted the aforementioned to his Instagram story. It contained a photo of him in an Alabama uniform, pushing a narrative about the Crimson Tide being linked to four 5-star players in the 2026 class. Griffin is one of those 5-star prospects, and his recruitment is far from over.
Alabama supporters are getting restless for the start of the big summer recruiting run.
There have been various hints, including a tweet from Hayes Fawcett on Thursday, that Alabama will launch the long-anticipated huge summer recruiting run. Patience is the word of the game in recruiting, but that doesn’t make things easier for fans.
Alabama did receive a commitment from 4-star offensive tackle Sam Utu this week, as well as official predictions to sign 5-star defensive tackle Jireh Edwards and 3-star wide receiver Brian Williams Jr., but predictions are not commitments.
