When trying to laud one individual in football, it can instantly question another and even cast doubt on their profession.

This appears to be what has transpired with Bild am Sonntag’s Eden Terzic allegations. According to the newspaper, three Premier League clubs are ‘thinking about’ hiring the Borussia Dortmund manager, including Tottenham Hotspur.

Of course, Tottenham already has a manager, and despite the season not going as well as it could have, there are no hints that Ange Postecoglou is surplus to requirements.
Terzic, who is 41 years old and relatively new in management, has Dortmund fifth in the Bundesliga, and Bild reports that he was almost fired just before Christmas.

A Champions League run to the final can certainly cover up a lot of flaws, but it cannot alter reality.

Terzic will deserve and receive a lot of acclaim if Dortmund defeats Real Madrid in the final, but it all feels like an attempt to hype that praise and entice Premier League clubs to help.

Newcastle United and West Ham are the other two clubs associated with Tottenham.
