Another name to watch in the 2026 class.
Mark Pope and his staff have hit the recruiting trail hard in the class of 2026, hoping to pull in some of the best talent from a very strong class.
With so many huge names already on the board, we now have another name to add to the list of players the Kentucky Wildcats are seeking.
According to 247 Sports’ Dushawn London, the Wildcats have extended an offer to 5-star guard Deron Riley Jr.

Rippey, a 6-foot-2, 175-pound point guard from Blairstown (NJ), is a rising recruiting prospect who has received offers from Tennessee, Miami, Auburn, and Texas Tech in recent weeks.
With the Cats on board, they join a stacked offer sheet that includes the teams listed above, as well as Alabama, Louisville, and North Carolina.

Rippey, a superb all-around athlete, is a primary ball-handler with good length who is most recognized for his two-way versatility. This is just another characteristic that the staff has valued since Pope took over.
This recruitment is still in its early stages. Now we’ll see how serious the Cats are about this.
Rippey is a 5-star guard, according to the 247 Sports Composite rankings. He is also ranked as a top-5 point guard in the 2026 class.

Basketball Wildcats Look Good During Summer Workouts
Is it too early to get enthusiastic about basketball? The answer is “no.”
The Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team has began summer training, and fans have gotten a first peek at the 2025-26 roster thanks to fresh images from UK Athletics.
Except for international commit Andrija Jelavić, all players on the roster were featured in the photos.

While Brandon Garrison and Jayden Quaintance (currently recovering from an ACL injury) were not in the spotlight, they were present with the team.
Two things leap out right away: athleticism and technology. Denzel Aberdeen, Kam Williams, and Mo Dioubate demonstrated amazing verticals during drills.

What about the team’s gear? That sleek black top isn’t just for looks; it’s Catapult’s Vector Elite 2.1 Vest, which monitors heart rate and other performance indicators.
While this doesn’t reveal anything about this year’s squad, it’s great fodder to tide us over till basketball season, especially following the Vince Marrow announcement earlier this week.
