Foot Mercato understands that AS Roma’s Saud Abdulhamid (25) is close to joining Toulouse FC on loan.
Until this summer, the defender had spent his whole career in his native Saudi Arabia. He then joined Roma after receiving attention from two Ligue 1 clubs: Stade de Reims and Toulouse FC. However, in the Italian city, Abdulhamid’s playing time has been limited, with only eight appearances in all competitions. He did, however, make history by being the first Saudi Arabian player to score in a European competition, doing so against Braga in the UEFA Europa League.
Similar to last summer, Abdulhamid has been linked with a move to France. This time, it is expected to succeed. He’s slated to join Toulouse. RC Lens has entered the competition to sign the Saudi Arabia international. His choice for Le TéFéCé has been reaffirmed, and his loan move is expected to be completed shortly.
