There is plenty of activity at Ibrox as Russell Martin ramps up his business and we have all the latest
Feyenoord are reportedly weighing up a move to take Cyriel Dessers back to Rotterdam – and considering trying to hijack AEK Athens’ bid for the Rangers striker.
The Dutch giants – who had a bumper £9million bid rejected for former Celtic striker Oh Hyeon-gyu– are said to be keen on Dessers after failing in a bid to land Brazilian frontman Romulo Cardoso from Turkish Super Lig side Goztepe.
AEK Athens have been desperate to land him and even agreed personal terms, but can’t meet the fee Rangers want for him.
And now Sport24 and SDNA say Feyenoord are preparing to try to hijack it. Dessers had a loan spell with the Dutch side in 2021/22 and was Europa Conference League top scorer with 12 goals but they opted not to sign him on a permanent basis.
Feyenoord are also desperate to land ex Hoops man Oh, but his Belgian club Genk have made it clear they have no intention of selling the 19-times capped international, who still has three years of his deal left.
While Dessers could have the option of returning to his former club – the same remains for his Rangers team-mate Robin Propper with Twente Enschede still keen on him.
Meanwhile, former Aston Villa and England midfielder Lee Hendrie reckons Aaron Ramsdale moving to Rangers would be a “backwards step”

The Southampton keeper has been linked with a Russell Martin reunion but Hendrie told Football League World: “Aaron Ramsdale is now available on loan, the Saints are saying.
“That is no disrespect to the league. I just think he has got more to offer at this moment in time.
“Listen, it is a massive football club. There is no doubting that Aaron Ramsdale is a very good goalkeeper. There is no doubt about that, and I do feel that he has got a lot more to offer.
“It would not surprise me if a Premier League club maybe looked to take him, just because he has got the experience, given where he has been and what he has done.
“If you look at the two clubs – Rangers and Galatasaray – Rangers would be the one that I would certainly be looking to pick, but I still think he will end up at a Premier League club. I really do.”
