Championship 2025/26 promotion odds published, with West Brom tip offered

West Brom are still looking for a new manager, but they do know who they will play next season.

The whole Championship line-up was finalized on Sunday, with Charlton Athletic defeating Leyton Orient 1-0 to clinch their return to the second division.

It indicates that the full roster for next season’s Championship has been finalized, and the bookmakers have announced the odds for promotion.

Unsurprisingly, two of the Premier League’s demoted teams have been tipped to return to the top flight.

Most bookmakers list Ipswich Town as the current favourites at 6/4, while Southampton, who have recently appointed Will Still as their new head coach, are 15/8.

Sheffield United, who missed out on a Premier League return, are 5/2 to be promoted next season.

The current fourth favourite is one of the promoted teams, with Birmingham City priced at 3/1 to achieve back-to-back promotions.

The Blues are likely to invest big this summer, with US owners ready to back manager Chris Davies.

Coventry, who failed to reach the play-off semi-finals this season, are 7/2, as is Middlesbrough, who had a terrible season.

Leicester City, who have also dropped from the top division, are 9/2, while Albion are the seventh favourites at 11/2 to return to the top level.

The club is currently without a management, which will contribute to some of those odds.

Another promoted team has climbed into the top ten, with Wrexham given 13/2 chances to make it four promotions in four years.
