There are no longer any top-two prospects in the incoming Duke basketball freshmen class.
Cameron Boozer, a power forward from Columbus High School (Fla.) who will play basketball for Duke, was ranked #1 on the 247Sports 2025 Composite as recently as October.

Boozer’s composite rating suffered yet another setback due to the minor decline. Boozer currently ranks third among his peers in terms of basketball recruiting haul when comparing his position throughout the major recruiting sites. Earlier this month, Shelton Henderson, a former Blue Devil signee, renounced his Miami pledge.

The 2025 award was given to Ooozer, a senior standout at Columbus High School (Fla.) and the son of Carlos Boozer, the 2001 Duke basketball national champion. As a sophomore in 2023, he also won the Ballislife.com hardware.
With Boozer’s latest recognition, Blue Devil commits have now accounted for the past four Mr. Basketball USA honorees, as Dariq Whitehead won in 2022 and Cooper Flagg prevailed over then-junior Cameron Boozer and other top talents last year.

A 6-foot-9, 245-pound power forward currently checking in at No. 3 overall on the 247Sports 2025 Composite, Cameron Boozer is also a two-time Gatorade National Player of the Year (same years).

The other two incoming Blue Devil freshmen are Harvard-Westlake School (Calif.) five-star forward Nikolas Khamenia plus Cameron Boozer’s twin and Columbus teammate in five-star guard Cayden Boozer.

According to 247Sports, he leads a three-person Duke basketball class in 2025, which reflects his own ranking of No. 3 in the nation.
