Tottenham Hotspur signed Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli at the start of the season.

The 27-year-old Italian international goalkeeper has impressed with his shot-stopping, distribution, and assured presence at the back.

Vicario has now revealed to Sportweek Magazine (h/t Gazzetta) what he enjoys most about the Premier League. The Italian international emphasized the fans’ enthusiasm for English football as a big attraction. So far, the player has had a fantastic experience playing in front of a crowded stadium every week.

“I like everything about the Premier League. If I had to pick one, it would be the supporters‘ passion and the amazing atmospheres that are produced every weekend no matter where you travel. We are fortunate to have a sold-out stadium full with enthusiastic fans.

The Italian has undoubtedly established himself as crucial player for Tottenhamand he will be hoping to improve on his promising start at the North London club.

He has received plenty of criticism for his command of the box, particularly during set pieces. If he can improve his skills in the next months, he has the potential to become good Premier League goalkeeper.

Vicario is expected to progress further with coaching and experience. He is still only 27, and the goalkeeper has yet to reach his peak years. Replacing club veteran Hugo Lloris may have been a significant test for the player, but the Italian has clearly stepped up since the move and exceeded expectations.
