Sky Sports’ guy responds as 49ers consider Leeds move for “very good” £30 million player

Leeds United are preparing for another season in the top flight, and Lee Hendrie has shared his opinion on their pursuit of an exciting reported target.

Leeds United prepares for their comeback to the Premier League.
Daniel Farke won the Championship title in dramatic way on the final day of the season and will now go forward in his quest to position his team for Premier League survival.

Now, after the summer break, his focus will be on adding talent to aid them along the way, something Lee Sharpe believes the Whites must master if they are to avoid relegation next season.

He remarked, “Leeds need to recruit intelligently and rotate the starting 11 more this season. Two years ago, they failed to rotate the players enough, causing them to weary in the final 15 or 20 minutes of games. As long as they get the basics right, they’ll have an excellent chance.”

Manchester City‘s James McAtee and Jamie Vardy, who is about to become a free agent, might arrive at Elland Road. However, there will be fierce competition for their services elsewhere.

Lennon Miller of Motherwell has been identified to strengthen Leeds’ engine room. Again, he may prove to be a difficult capture in a crowded market where talent is only available at a premium.

The Elland Road administration has learned a lot in recent years as they prepare to return to the top division. Determined to keep Leeds in the Premier League for the long term, Farke and the 49ers Enterprises have now turned their focus to a gifted operator who has piqued Lee Hendrie’s interest.

Hendrie says Mateus Fernandes would be a “really good fit” for Leeds United.
According to analyst Hendrie, who spoke with Football League World, Southampton midfielder Mateus Fernandes would be a’very excellent fit’ for Leeds if he moved to Elland Road this summer. Leeds, Aston Villa, and Crystal Palace have all been linked with a bid for the £30 million midfielder.

He remarked, “He’s another very good player who I believe would fit the bill for Leeds given how they play.” He has a little bit of everything.

“I think he’d be a fantastic signing for the football club. I look at the acquisitions they’ve made in previous seasons: flashy, skilled, and he has plenty of both.

“I believe he will eventually depart the football club. I believe it would be a great fit for Leeds and for him. Obviously, the Premier League is an interesting squad that he could wind up playing for, where you might get a little more out of him. Very, very excellent player, and it would be a terrific addition to Leeds.”

In a difficult season for Southampton, midfielder Fernandes has generated 31 opportunities in the Premier League, demonstrating his ability to perform at the highest level even when things aren’t going well for the team.

Leeds will want players with that sort of tenacity next season, and the Portugal Under-21 international is clearly one who fits the bill heading into the window.
