Harry Kane has stated that being the Premier League’s all-time leading goalscorer was never on his agenda and that he was always focused on winning silverware.
Some may have assumed that Kane would not want to leave the Premier League this summer, despite the fact that he is only 47 goals short of breaking Alan Shearer’s record.
However, the former Tottenham player stated that Shearer’s goal total never influenced his thinking because he was always more concerned with winning team awards than individual accolades.
The England captain stated that he eventually wanted to improve and compete for the game’s biggest titles, which is why he chose Bayern Munich.
While the Premier League goals record may not be Kane’s top objective, I am confident that it is very important to the striker. I believe he believes he will be able to come to England in a few years and still have time to smash that record.
