After scoring a hat-trick, 27-year-old Tottenham target sets a 60-year league record.

Serhou Guirassy, a Stuttgart striker, has scored another hat-trick after being linked with Tottenham Hotspur.

The 27-year-old attacker talked to the club’s website after adding another league goal to his total for the season.

Tottenham’s summer was spent wondering about Harry Kane‘s future and whether he will be replaced.

Kane eventually left for Bayern Munich, where he is tearing up the Bundesliga.

Spurs did not directly replace England’s captain, instead bringing in Brennan Johnson and Alejo Veliz to fill various roles in the squad.

While Kane’s start in Germany has been excellent, with nine goals and four assists in all competitions in only eight outings, Serhou Guirassy’s is something else.

Guirassy‘s hat-trick yesterday brings his league record to 13 goals in seven games, which has piqued the interest of Tottenham.

In fact, Guirassy‘s start to the season has smashed the Bundesliga record for most goals scored at this point in the season since it began 60 years ago.

The Guinean international has already surpassed his previous season’s goal total.

Guirassy, a Tottenham target, scores another hat-trick.

Guirassy was asked after the game how he felt after scoring three goals in 15 minutes against Wolfsburg the day before: “Thirteen goals in seven games – it’s unbelievable.”

“I’m benefiting from my teammates, who continue to set me up well.” It’s just a lot of fun to play in front of these fans for this squad.”

Guirassy’s hat-trick stands in stark contrast to Richarlison‘s form for Tottenham.

The Brazilian could have scored twice in the first four minutes of yesterday’s game against Luton Town but fluffed his lines in front of goal.

Some say he’s not good enough for the Spurs, which seems harsh, but his dismal scoring record is becoming an issue.

By signing Guirassy, captain Son Heung-min would be able to return to the left wing, giving James Maddison a genuine focal point to find with his superb passing.

Given how wonderfully Spurs have begun the season, the Guinean international may be tempted to join them right now.

The African Cup of Nations, which will see Guirassy join his national team for part of the Premier League season, may be the lone disadvantage for Tottenham.
