According to Sabuncuoglu, “Davinson Sanchez’s representative will be in Istanbul in the coming hours to complete contract negotiations with Galatasaray.”However, considering that the English transfer window has already closed, Spurs must be hesitant to sanction a move.

Sanchez appears to be the third choice center-back behind the starting duo of Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven.As a result, it would be surprising if Sanchez went without a replacement.Under Postecoglou, Eric Dier has yet to appear in a competitive matchday squad, while new acquisition Ashley Phillips is barely 18 years old.

Although Tottenham may be reluctant to let Sanchez depart, the prospect must be appealing to the player.Galatasaray is competing in the Champions League this season, and Tottenham’s Sanchez would undoubtedly be an important player for the club.

The Spurs can’t afford to lose Sanchez now that the window has closed. The 27-year-old will be required on multiple times and is now a pivotal player in allowing Postecoglou to experiment with a three-man defence when necessary.

Eric Dier is still out in the cold, and there aren’t many other options. He was free to go in the summer, but only with the intention of being replaced.Tottenham is now unable to authorise a deal for Sanchez to Galatasaray until at least January.
