Cristian Romero stated to Argentine media that he is loving the way things are going at Tottenham Hotspur right now.
The 2022-23 season was bittersweet for Romero since, although helping Argentina win the World Cup, the centre-back struggled to deliver consistent performances for his club, especially in the second half of the season.
The former Juventus man confessed throughout the summer that he was dissatisfied with the level of his performances last season, but he insists that he is trying to put everything behind him and show his best this season (The Athletic).
So far, Romero has done just that, forming a powerful defensive pairing with new acquisition Micky van de Ven.

The centre-back appears to have matured as a result of the increased leadership responsibilities he currently has, with Ange Postecoglou naming him Tottneham’s vice-captain.
The 25-year-old revealed (through Gaston Edul) while on international duty with Argentina: “I’m really enjoying the moment at Tottenham.”
There appears to be a positive vibe in the Tottenham squad right now, which was definitely lacking last season. That is most likely due to Ange removing the fear of failure and encouraging the players to express themselves on the pitch.
