cruelly popular Uruguayan Darwin Nunez training video

Darwin Nunez has endured more criticism than is fair since signing with Liverpool in the summer.

It wasn’t his fault that he was signed for a club record £85 million cost, but it was always going to put a lot of pressure on him to perform immediately.

After just 75 minutes of preseason play, Nunez was already the target of online jeers from opposition supporters. However, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp kept things in perspective.

After his team lost to Manchester United 4-0, Klopp told ESPN he was “absolutely not scared.” “We have zero interest in the overall verdict [on Nunez].” We all know it will be like this.

Picking out instances where a player isn’t performing well is something some individuals do as a game or joke. It’s merely a game between supporters of different teams, which is typical. The same is undoubtedly true with Manchester United signings for our supporters. This is not a major matter.

Nunez went on to score twice more, once against Fulham on the first weekend of the Premier League season and once against Manchester City in the Community Shield a week later.

However, he let himself down by headbutting Crystal Palace’s Joachim Andersen in the subsequent game, which led to a three-match suspension.

Nunez has so far made six appearances for the Reds and scored twice.

Prior to the start of the season, he was being likened to Erling Haaland, but the powerful Norwegian center-forward has already scored an incredible 14 goals in 10 games for Man City.

Before returning to Anfield, Klopp will be hoping that Nunez can regain some form and confidence with Uruguay, who play Iran and Canada during the current international break.

However, one video, which was captured on the touchline, has gone viral on social media, with rival supporters once more making fun of Nunez.

You can picture the response. One tweet received more than 5,000 retweets, 39,000 “likes,” and thousands of comments in just eight hours.

Although it was undoubtedly a terrible attempt at a cross, many other elite players have undoubtedly made worse attempts at crosses during practice.

What Nunez does on the field during competitive games is what counts.

We witnessed his abilities while wearing a Benfica jersey, and there is no reason to believe that the 23-year-old won’t display them for Liverpool and Uruguay in the upcoming months.

Those who have already written him off might later regret doing so.
