David Moyes begs West Ham’s board to abandon a major plan for the Chelsea match.

The Hammers, on the other hand, are no pushovers at the London Stadium and have a solid recent record versus the Blues. It only took West Ham fans 60 seconds of the new season to declare themselves “champions of Europe.”And they will definitely take great pleasure in proudly shouting about their Europa Conference League triumph when their fierce rivals visit east London on Sunday.

But, ahead of the game, West Ham’s boss is concerned about a potential distraction.David Moyes has begged with West Ham’s board not to go with their huge plan for the Chelsea match.West Ham’s first home game since that historic night in Prague in June, when the club won a major trophy for the first time in 43 years, is against Chelsea.

According to The Daily Mail, the club intends to display the trophy to supporters before kickoff. But Moyes is not interested, imploring the club to allow him and his players to concentrate on the daunting job of facing Pochettino’s side.To win in Europe, you have to play various teams from different nations, which takes a lot of work and effort,” Moyes explained.”But I’m not sure I’m mad about the parade idea, since we have a game to play and we have to go on…

We’re still learning and trying to get better. We would have preferred to finish in a higher league place, but we gained something crucial for us and our West Ham identity last season. We’ve made it onto the map.

After more than four decades of no glory, surely we can take a few moments to enjoy this together on our home ground?

Over the summer, many fans had the opportunity to get up close and personal with the trophy at the club’s shop.It remains to be seen whether the Hammers’ leadership will take Moyes’ request seriously. In many ways, you can see where Moyes is coming from. However, this is the club’s first taste of triumph in nearly four decades. Can’t we set out 10 minutes to celebrate it all together on our home ground?

After all, as West Ham fans are well aware, just 5,000 of us were permitted to attend the final due to UEFA’s poor venue selection.
