“It is bad.” Steve Sidwell delivers his view on the Nottingham Forest controversy.

Steve Sidwell addressed the controversy in the dying minutes of Nottingham Forest’s Premier League match against Liverpool at the City Ground last Saturday.

Nottingham Forest lost 1-0 to Liverpool at the City Ground in the Premier League last Saturday.
Darwin Nunez, Uruguay‘s international striker, scored the game’s sole goal in the ninth minute of injury time.

Alexis MacAllister crossed the ball, and Nunez scored. While there were defensive mistakes at the back that contributed to the goal, what transpired before was highly contentious.
Referee Paul Tierney incorrectly threw the ball to Liverpool goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher to continue play following a drop ball.

It happened in less than two minutes before NĂșnez went home. The goal occurred in the ninth minute of injury time. Graham Scott, the fourth official, indicated eight further minutes, while The Guardian reports that the time held up is a minimum.

Steve Sidwell discusses the Nottingham Forest vs Liverpool debate.

Former Chelsea and Brighton & Hove Albion midfielder Steve Sidwell has spoken on the topic and stated that the judgment was incorrect.

Sidwell stated on That Peter Crouch Podcast: “It’s horrible. It is the law. It is the wrong decision. It is not subjective. What he did is incorrect. “It was a huge mistake!”

My View: Nottingham Forest need to move forward.

In my opinion, Nottingham Forest should move on. I don’t see the value in again discussing the events in the match versus Liverpool.

Forest lost the match, and I believe Nuno’s team should accept it and move on. They have a big game coming up against Brighton and Hove Albion in the Premier League this weekend, and I’m picking them to win.
