James Maddison was really pleased with a £22 million Tottenham player’s performance against Burnley.

The performance of Son Heung-min, the captain of Tottenham Hotspur, against Burnley on Saturday really pleased James Maddison.

After yesterday’s 5-2 victory at Turf Moor, Maddison praised Son on Instagram for his fantastic hat-trick of goals.

Lyle Foster‘s well-executed goal gave Burnley the lead early on in yesterday’s encounter, giving Tottenham the early deficit. Son, however, tied the score for Spurs after just 15 minutes with a lovely chipped attempt over James Trafford.

Before halftime, Cristian Romero gave Spurs the lead with a spectacular long-range effort.

After that, Son scored two more goals, and James Maddison scored his second goal while wearing a Tottenham shirt.

And Maddison was especially pleased with his captain’s Turf Moor effort.

Maddison was quite impressed with Son’s performance versus Burnley.

After yesterday’s victory, Son posted on Instagram to convey his happiness at scoring three points away from home.

“Proud of this amazing performance by the boys in such a difficult stadium to play,” he wrote. Going into the holiday break in a positive frame of mind.

“Have a safe trip home, everyone who came, and thank you so much for your tremendous support.  !!!”

Amazing skipper, Maddison remarked beneath the post.

Richarlison was replaced by Son as the team’s striker yesterday, and the £22 million forward had a significant influence.

Despite beginning this season on the left flank, the 31-year-old appeared more at ease when playing through the middle.

After Manor Solomon performed well in his first Premier League start for Spurs, Richarlison will now have a difficult time regaining his place in the lineup.

After the break for international play, Tottenham hosts Sheffield United, and it would be a massive shock if Son didn’t keep his starting position up front.
