Leeds United must use the opportunity presented by Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho’s transfer development.

Leeds United are desperate for a striker this summer and must sign Crystal Palace-linked Leicester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho as soon as possible.

According to Phil Hay of The Athletic, the Whites considered bringing the Nigerian striker to Elland Road last summer.

This time, the need for a striker is considerably greater, and with Leicester also relegated, Leeds has a chance to sign him.

While the Foxes do not want to let him leave, the Evening Standard claimed on August 22 that he will be available for a reduced fee this summer.

With his contract at the King Power expiring at the end of the season and his refusal to sign a new one, he could be open to a move to the Premier League.

However, Palace will only sign him if they lose Jean-Philippe Mateta, which might allow Leeds to sweep in and sign him.

The 26-year-old has shown himself in the English Premier League and will do admirably in the Championship.

Daniel Farke, the new manager, can guarantee to construct his team around Iheanacho as they want to be promoted at the first time of asking.

It remains to be seen whether Leeds will revive their interest in the striker, but they must give it a chance.
