Recent developments indicate that Leeds United will complete a £5 million deal.

According to Chris Jack of The Herald Scotland, Leeds United is close to acquiring Glen Kamara from Scottish powerhouse Rangers.

The two parties are nearing an agreement for a permanent transfer for a sum of between £2.5 and £5 million, and the 27-year-old is expected to become Daniel Farke‘s newest signing. The most recent information is that personal terms have already been agreed upon, and Leeds and Rangers are eager to close a deal as soon as possible while the transfer market is still open.

After moving from Dundee United to Rangers in 2019, Kamara has played 193 times for the Glasgow-based club. Additionally, he has been a player for Southend United, Colchester United, and Arsenal, where he made one appearance in the EFL Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday.

After a turbulent summer, Leeds is in serious need of recruits. As the season progresses, Daniel Farke will need to reassemble his team due to several significant departures. As the deadline draws near, there are still unresolved concerns, including the ongoing Wilfred Gnonto scandal and uncertainty about Patrick Bamford and several other important players. The Elland Road team will undoubtedly be active in the window in the days left, and they may even pull off a few surprises as they explore all of their possibilities to bolster the squad after a difficult start that saw them win just one of their first four games.

Author’s Opinion
Leeds sorely needs reinforcements, therefore it’s encouraging to see that another one is almost ready to be signed. Instead of having their attention tugged in too many ways, this should let them move on and focus on other team members. With more parties involved in the race and still many important matters to be resolved, the pursuit of O’Brien by Nottingham Forrest appears to have grown more difficult. The next several days are expected to be very hectic.
