Kaoru Mitoma turned off a summer move to Chelsea and is ready to sign a new contract with Brighton & Hove Albion.
According to the Manchester Evening News, Kaoru Mitoma is expected to sign a new contract with Brighton & Hove Albion despite interest from prominent Premier League clubs, including Chelsea, who made an offer for the forward in the summer.
Liverpool, Manchester United, and Manchester City are among the clubs interested in signing him, although he is unlikely to leave the Seagulls with a new contract in place. City has a plethora of wingers, including Jack Grealish, Phil Foden, Bernardo Silva, Jeremy Doku, and top prospect Oscar Bobb.
Mitoma’s desire to remain at Brighton seems logical given that they were one of the best teams last season, challenging the likes of Liverpool and Manchester United. They have also been superb this season. However, their performance has declined, and if this trend continues, he may contemplate leaving the team in January.

United and Liverpool, on the other hand, may be bolstering their left wings. United now has Marcus Rashford and Alejandro Garnacho, but Rashford’s recent drop in performance may push the club to look for a winger.
While Chelsea has three options for the left wing in Mykhaylo Mudryk, Raheem Sterling, and Christopher Nkunku, Mitoma brings a unique perspective. Sterling and Nkunku play in different spots as well.
