Leeds United return to action after the international break with a challenging journey to Millwall.
The Whites will be hoping to get their season back on track when club football resumes, with the uncertainty of the transfer window now firmly behind them.
Leeds have only picked up six points from their first five games under Daniel Farke and couldn’t have selected a tougher game to get back on track with.
Leeds have always struggled away at Millwall, with their last win at the Den coming in November 2012, a sequence that includes five defeats in six games.
Millwall have also had a somewhat erratic start to the season, with seven points so far, with manager Gary Rowett facing some criticism from supporters.
Prutton believes Millwall will beat Leeds.
Former Leeds player David Prutton believes Millwall will win on Sunday, despite the increased’stability’ at Elland Road, in his weekly EFL predictions piece for Sky Sports.
“Millwall have had a couple of decent results in a row now to ease the criticism aimed at Gary Rowett,” he remarked. They’ll almost certainly be there or thereabouts again this season.
“Leeds will probably be relieved more than any other club that the transfer window has closed and Daniel Farke can focus on what he has.” Will such steadiness be beneficial at The Den? For the time being, I’m not sure. The home team wins. “I predict Millwall 2-1 Leeds.”
Leeds will have a better chance of ending their hoodoo at the Den with Millwall missing their first choice custodian and captain.
All is not well in South London at the moment, and Leeds should have a very strong team for the weekend, with four new recruits available for full debuts and others recovering from injury.
