What Werner and Vicario did following Tottenham’s victory, and why Van de Ven’s goal was even more spectacular

It’s time for the newest episode of Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham, as our Spurs reporters Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest analyse the win over Nottingham Forest.

Tottenham moved up to fourth place in the Premier League, thanks in large part to Micky van de Ven‘s performance in the win over Nottingham Forest.

The 22-year-old Dutchman was in excellent defensive form, but he also came up with a rocket of a strike to put Spurs ahead 2-1 and pave the way for Ange Postecoglou‘s side’s eventual 3-1 win. Not only was it Van de Ven’s first goal at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, but it was even more memorable because it came in front of his family.

The Van de Vens were in the south-west corner of the stadium, giving them a clear view of the goal as he made his imprint with a man-of-the-match performance.

Following the final whistle, the entire stadium sang his chant as he walked around the pitch. Two of his teammates, Timo Werner and goalie Guglielmo Vicario, stood together, chanting and dancing to the chant while waiting for him to catch up.

In the most recent episode of their podcast Gold & Guest Talk Tottenham, our two Spurs reporters, Alasdair Gold and Rob Guest, addressed the win over Forest, Nuno Espirito Santo’s return to the club, Van de Ven’s performance, Werner’s show, Postecoglou’s important changes, and much more.
