Tottenham player worth £12m not close to leaving as no one is trying to sign him.

Due to the lack of interest that teams have shown in recruiting the Frenchman thus far, Hugo Lloris is still not any closer to leaving Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

The Independent asserts that Lloris has thus far been unsuccessful in securing a transfer outside of North London.

Lloris stayed at home last month to “explore potential transfer opportunities,” which prevented him from joining Tottenham on their preseason tour of Asia.

After 11 years at Spurs, Ange Postecoglou has already acknowledged that the Frenchman would probably go this summer.

The 35-year-old lost his starting spot for Tottenham last season to backup goalie Fraser Forster, and it’s probable that his final game for the team will be the 6-1 demolition of Newcastle United.

Despite the club’s recent revelation that Lloris is free to explore a move this summer, a change is not about to happen despite the excellent service he has provided for Tottenham over the years.

Lloris is still planning to leave Tottenham.

According to The Independent, Lloris has so far been unsuccessful in securing a transfer away from Tottenham.

He is reportedly no closer to leaving Spurs, and one prospective destination—Paris Saint-Germain—is apparently unlikely now that the Ligue 1 powerhouses have signed Arnau Tenas.

Lloris joined Spurs in the summer of 2012 for just £12 million, and it’s fair to say the move proved to be a brilliant one for the club.

For a few seasons, the former captain of France was undoubtedly one of the top goalkeepers in the Premier League. However, his time wearing a Spurs jersey has likely already over.

After taking 31 players on the preseason trip, Postecoglou will be eager to trim his roster before the window shuts.

Lloris would have been anticipated to have finalized a transfer by this point, but it appears that he currently has no viable choices.

Saudi Arabia has expressed interest in him, but it’s not certain if Lloris would be receptive to moving to the Middle East.
