“He’s got all kinds of ability;” says Aaron Lennon of Tottenham’s ‘great’ player.

Yves Bissouma has emerged as a prominent performer for Tottenham, winning accolades from both fans and former teammates for his miraculous comeback under new boss Ange Postecoglou.

He joined Tottenham from Brighton for £25 million and was regarded as one of the summer’s top signings, but he struggled to make an impression owing to injury issues and difficulties adapting to Antonio Conte‘s playing style.

Bissouma, on the other hand, has found his finest form under Postecoglou’s tutelage. He has put up strong performances in Tottenham‘s first three games, guiding them to their first back-to-back Premier League wins since February.

Former midfielder Jamie O’Hara claimed that his performance against Bournemouth made him look like a £100 million player.

And another former Tottenham Hotspur player, Aaron Lennon, has showered praise on the midfielder, praising him for how he has turned his Spurs career around.

Lennon attributed Bissouma‘s achievement to his continuous playing time and the manager’s encouragement.

He stated on the BBC:

“Also, a special mention for [Yves] Bissouma, who has been brilliant in the middle of the park.”

“[He’s] a completely different player; as you mentioned, he didn’t get a run of games, which some players require.”

“And also, most likely, a manager will come in and put their arm around him and say, ‘You are that player, mate.'”

“He’s got a lot of talent, both on and off the ball, and he’s been fantastic.” But, as you mentioned, him, [James] Maddison, and the new lad at the back [Micky Van de Ven] have both been brilliant, and I’m really enjoying them; I thought they were brilliant yesterday.”

Bissouma, Sarr, and Maddison have been a total hit thus far, since the three of them appear to compliment each other well.

Pape Matar Sarr has taken over for the injured Rodrigo Bentancur, who has been out since last season with a long-term injury.

He was undoubtedly Tottenham‘s finest player last season until his injury, and he and Bissouma might create a formidable tandem whenever he returns.
