James Maddison discusses his weird experiences since joining Tottenham Hotspur.

James Maddison of Tottenham Hotspur has confessed that he has been astonished by how quickly he has adjusted at his new club.

During the international break, Maddison spoke to talkSPORT and waxed lyrical about his start at Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou, the England midfielder, stated that he has been a very calming presence since his arrival.

However, Maddison swiftly noted that things will not always be sunny at Tottenham this season.

“We’ve had a really good start,” he said, adding, “and as I’ve said on numerous occasions now, when you go into a new club, it can sometimes take a little bit of time to adapt and stuff, but it hasn’t really.”

“I feel like I’ve been at Spurs for ages, which is a strange sensation!”

“But it kind of fits.” Everything is really wonderful now, thanks to the new manager.

“We’ve started the season well, but we know it’s a long season with a lot of ups and downs.”

“Especially this early into the new manager’s project which is what he is trying to build but we have got off to a pretty good start and I just hope it can continue.”

Maddison understands how quickly things can change at Tottenham Hotspur.
Despite being questioned about his Spurs debut, Maddison must be focused on his time with England right now.

Despite his club form, the 26-year-old has unable to earn a permanent berth under Gareth Southgate.

Furthermore, it appears that England manager Gareth Southgate has misgivings about the former Leicester City player.

Maddison has previously been a high-profile absence.

However, given how fast Maddison has established himself at Tottenham, Southgate will find it difficult to ignore him now.

With important tournaments on the horizon, the midfielder now has a great opportunity to solidify his spot in the England XI.

And his Spurs manager, Ange Postecoglou, would be the first to say he’s ready for the post.
