Richarlison and Bentancur: Tottenham’s most recent injuries and expected returns before the Burnley game.

Tottenham injury update: Spurs are preparing to face Burnley, but one of their finest players will be returning.

Tottenham Hotspur will prepare to go to Turf Moor this weekend in order to preserve their place in the Premier League’s top four when they face Burnley.

Spurs suffered their first defeat under Ange Postecoglou when they were knocked out of the Carabao Cup in the second round by Premier League rivals Fulham on penalties.

However, despite a great start to the Premier League season, the Australian will be without a couple of his finest players. With being said, football.london is here to provide you with the most recent Tottenham injury news.

According to manager Ange Postecoglou, the Brazilian international received a minor knock in Spurs’ loss to Fulham but will be fit and ready for this weekend.

“I think he got a bit of a knock,” Postecoglou remarked. I guess it’s wonderful for him to score a goal because everyone has been talking about it, but I think he’s played better for us in the other games.

“I understand why other people look at that, but for me, it’s about contributing to our football and how we play.” Not only him, but a couple more players in that boat, I think we threw the ball away a little too much tonight.

“It’s an important part of our game, and it’s something I want Richy to work on.” I believe the objectives will be met. Our strikers and attacking players will have chances to score. At this point, our all-around game is much more essential.”

Expected return date: Saturday, September 2

“We continue working, and my knee is doing very well,” Bentancur remarked on June 23. I didn’t set a lap time, but I’m hoping to gain a few minutes in two or three months.”

Expected return date: October

Sessegnon, Ryan
Sessegnon has been suffering with a hamstring injury that he sustained during preseason training and had surgery to correct.

According to the Spurs (July 11), “Ryan has undergone surgery to his left hamstring following an injury sustained during pre-season training.”

Expected return date: N/A

Alfie Whiteman

Whiteman suffered an ankle injury during the team’s preseason tour and is currently receiving rehabilitation.

What Spurs have said (August 3): “Alfie has undergone surgery following an ankle injury sustained on pre-season tour.” He will now begin his rehabilitation with our medical experts, and a return date to training will be set in due course.”
